Our liqueurs contain a selection of quality brands of drinks as fillings, including Cognac Rémy MarTin, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, The Famous Grouse whisky and Mandarine Napoléon. The combination of high quality Belgian plain chocolate and a hit of alcohol makes this a truly sophisticated treat. In the production of the chocolates we use a traditional technique, which forms a thin layer of crystallised sugar on the coaTing and allows the inside to remain liquid. Time and again this produces an overwhelming taste sensation. As a matter of fact, our generous chocolates contain the highest volume of liqueur in the world. Duc d’O is an internationally recognised leading Belgian chocolate brand for many reasons, however the one we are most proud of is our consistency in making conTinental high quality chocolate and confectionery. In 1983 Mr Hendrik Verhelst, a keen chocolate lover, made his dream come true when he founded his own chocolate production company based in Kruibeke in Belgium. Today it is still a family run business and Hendrik’s son, Paul-Henri has taken over the reins and conTinued where his father left off. Over the last decade, an expansive export-network has been rolled out. Today it covers the entire globe as 80% of the Duc d'O production is exported to over 80 countries.
Under the watchful eyes of our master chocolatier, Guido Vandeperre, we promise 100% guaranteed quality Belgian chocolate made with 100% cocoa butter. All of our chocolate is natural (no artificial colours, preservatives or flavouring) and to confirm its' consistent quality we have all the accredited certificates. We like to know where all of our raw goods come from, so provenance is a key part of our ethos backed up by our meticulous selection of ingredients.
